Levitt Pavilion Denver reveals 2018 free concert schedule

Levitt Pavilion Denver, Ruby Hill’s up-to-7,500-capacity nonprofit outdoor amphitheater, is returning this summer for a second season of mostly free concerts.

On Sunday night, the venue made good with an early look at those freebie shows. There are still an overwhelming amount of TBA spots in there — it’s promising 50 free shows in all this season — but you can make out the schedule’s big picture. Notables include Tea Leaf Green, Jenny and the Mexicats, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club and Paul Thorn & The Blind Boys of Alabama, but that’s just according to me; you should check the whole thing out below.

The venue also offers a pay-to-enter series, which will bring the Alan Parsons Live Project, WAR, an ABBA tribute and more through the amphitheater this summer. Find out more on that here.

A notable gap in its schedule: No shows planned for the weekend of Sept.14, the first day of Superfly’s inaugural Grandoozy music festival. The site of the festival, which brings Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder and more, is a literal stone’s throw from Levitt Pavilion.

Last year, Levitt Pavilion Denver was nominated for the Best New Venue award by Pollstar, an international music industry directory service.
