Chuy’s pretty much lives for Taco Day. The quirky Tex-Mex restaurant is celebrating by offering crispy beef tacos for a buck, giving out free tacos to anyone who knows the secret Taco Day catchphrase (check the Chuy’s Facebook page) and, if you come in dressed like a taco, rewarding you with a free entr—e of your choosing. 10667 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, 303-469-9441; chuys.com

Platt Park’s Que Bueno Suerte! is running a buy-one, get-one free Taco Day deal. Will the Barbacoa de Borrego (lamb neck and cheek, radish, cilantro and onion salad) be your buy-one or your get-one? 1518 S. Pearl St., Denver, 720-642-7322; qbsuerte.com

Last month, Los Chingones asked diners to submit their best taco creations, and the winners from each location will be on the menu for National Taco Day. Try the Southern Comfort taco (fried chicken, spicy honey glaze, biscuit crumbles); the Left Coast (chipotle- and tomato-poached chicken, fried cotija cheese, roasted poblano puree); and the Dirty South (fried green tomatillo, pimento cheese sauce, black-eyed “peaco” de gallo). The three taco finalists are $3.50 each, or $10 to try all three. Various locations; loschingonesmexican.com

Almost all tacos at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop are $1 this Wednesday. Go get ’em. Various locations; fuzzystacoshop.com
