“Top Chef” Colorado may be over, but stars of the hit show are closer than you may imagine. Oskar Blue’s Grill & Brew is giving over 300 guests the opportunity to rub elbows with an impressive lineup of celebrity chefs, all in the name of a good cause.
On Aug. 24, the brewery’s newly opened LoDo restaurant and bar will host the Culinary Hurly Burly, with “Top Chef” alums Carrie Baird, Brother Luck and Bruce Kalman, as well as Food Network star Duff Goldman. Oskar Blue’s own Jason Rogers will join the group in offering a menu of small bites and Oskar Blues Brewery beer pairings.
Wine from Denver’s Infinite Monkey Theorem will also be available for purchase.
The 6:30 p.m. event will give guests a chance to mingle among tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and visit each food star’s culinary station.
At 8:30 p.m., there will be live music downstairs at the Black Buzzard with a performance by Chef Kalman and Goldman’s cover band, Foie Grock.
Tickets are available for $100; proceeds benefit the Can’d Aid Foundation, a publicly funded national nonprofit based in Longmont that spreads do-goodery efforts in Denver. Specifically, this event will help local Denver Title 1 schools through bike and instrument donations in the fall.
