Cattle call

Get up close and personal with the National Western Stock Show’s 2018 Grand Champion steer. Just mosey on over to The Brown Palace Hotel (321 17th St.) on Jan. 19. The prized animal, adorned with a garland of roses, will be escorted down a red carpet at 11 a.m. to take center stage during afternoon tea in the famed hotel’s lobby. This is the steer’s last hurrah before heading to the auction of champions that night. Fans are welcome to check out the champ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No selfies allowed, but for a $10 donation to There With Care, which supports families during a medical crisis, you can pose for a souvenir photo with the bodacious bovine. Rodeo royalty of the two-legged variety will also be on hand for pictures and autographs. brownpalace.com/national-westerns-grand-champion-steer

Full fare

Fill up with this hunger-busting deal from Applebee’s. Through Feb. 11, the bar and grill is serving up two all-you-can-eat options — choose from riblets or chicken tenders. Each is $12.99 and is served with endless classic fries, too. (They also offer a mix-and-match option.) Refills are not full plates, just smaller portions. However, it is all you can eat, so, if you’re still hungry, just keep ordering. Sorry, no sharing allowed. To wash it all down, get a $2 Blue Moon, a 10-ounce draft special, available all month long. applebees.com

Fill ‘er up

Filling the gas tank just got an added boost for skiers. Gas up at an Exxon, Mobil or Shell gas station and receive a buy-one-get-one free adult lift ticket deal. The offer is valid at Copper Mountain, Crested Butte, Powderhorn or Sunlight Mountain Resorts. To qualify, you must purchase 10 gallons or more of gas. Ask the station attendant for a validated Ski Free voucher and to stamp your gas receipt. Then, take the validated voucher and stamped gas receipt to the ski area’s lift ticket window. Purchase a one-day, full-price adult lift ticket and receive a second one for free. (Both tickets must be used on the same day, except at Crested Butte — that ticket must be used another day.) skifreedeals.com
