House of Vans is returning to Denver to throw a splashy party in the city the same weekend X Games takes over Aspen.
On Jan. 25, Vans will bring Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore to the Ogden Theater. Before you get too excited, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is, Moore is only playing a DJ set. The good news? The entire evening is free with an RSVP.
The concert will be accompanied by a premiere screening of “LANDLINE.,” Vans’ first-ever snowboarding movie. Dinosaur Jr. provided the soundtrack for the film, which was shot entirely on 16mm film.
The evening is 16 and older; doors open at 8 p.m., and “LANDLINE.” screens at 9 p.m. Entry is free, but it’s first come, first served. In other words: Get there early.
Check out a teaser for “LANDLINE.” below.
