The Taste of the Broncos is returning to Broncos Stadium at Mile High on Monday, Sept. 10.
How many times do you get to rub elbows with NFL players, alumni and cheerleaders, anyway? (Sure, it’s not cheap, but it’s for charity, and you get to eat some amazing food, too.)
At last year’s event, Von Miller, Brandon McManus, Brandon Marshall and even John Elway were among those on hand. The lineup of active players from this year’s team won’t be announced until the week before the event, according to Broncos’ spokesman Seth Medvin.
The Broncos will have had three preseason and one regular game under its belt by then (the day before, Sept. 9, is the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks), so you’ll have plenty to talk about with the players who show up.
Prominent Denver chef/restaurateur Troy Guard — of TAG Burger, HashTAG and others — is the lead chef for the event, overseeing the contributions from 32 area restaurants (which include — surprise! — TAG Burger and HashTAG).
Some of the other restaurants participating: Acorn; Cherry Creek Grill; ChoLon; Elway’s; French 75; Fruition/Mercantile; Hearth & Dram; High Point Creamery; Lola; Rioja; Table 6; The Corner Office; and Vesta.
“Taste of the Broncos uses food and drinks, sports and the community to make a huge difference — and that’s something I love being a part of,” Guard told The Denver Post before last year’s event.
Face Vocal band, an all-voice rock group from Boulder, is providing the entertainment.
Proceeds from Taste of the Broncos benefit Denver Broncos Charities and Food Bank of the Rockies.
The Taste of the Broncos is on Sept. 10 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Broncos Stadium at Mile High. Tickets are $100-$300 through Ticketmaster. VIP tickets for $300 give fans access to a pre-event appetizer and cocktail hour in the Broncos locker room at 5:30. Early admission tickets for $150 get you into the venue at 6:30, and general admission ticket-holders ($100) gain entry at 7 p.m. There is also a four-pack of GA tickets offered for $87.50 each.
