54thirty, Denver’s highest rooftop bar, has fire pits to keep patio season burning into fall

It’s just about fall, which means we’re all on the clock for drinking-on-the-patio season. If that’s you, head to the top of the Le Meridien hotel while you can. That’s where 54thirty, Denver’s tallest open-air rooftop bar, just opened on Sept. 14.

Perched on the 20th floor, 54thirty offers great city and mountain views to go along with its fun cocktail menu. Whether your tastes lean spicy (try the Blood Orange and Ancho Marg), sweet (how ’bout the Bubbly Bees Knees with honey, lemonade and bubbles) or what everyone else is drinking (the requisite take on the Mule is the 5430 Whiskey Ginger), it’s got a drink to make you feel like you’re on top of the world. Which is funny, because you kind of are.

In case you haven’t figured it out, the name refers to the bar’s 5,430-foot altitude, so yes, it’s up there. Once the weather gets a little cooler, they’ll get the fire pits burning so you can enjoy the views for as long as mother nature allows.

Oh, and there’s Cheesy Monkey Bread, which I feel also needs to be mentioned.
