Get ready to be a-maize-d again this year at Fritzler. (OK, that was the first and last maize-maze joke, we promise.)
The popular family-friendly fall destination has a new name, Fritzler Farm Park, and a new look for the 15-acre corn maze, as revealed Thursday morning.
Last year’s design read “Thank you farmers” from the aerial view high above. The design for 2018 is all about showing off the Farm Park’s new name to plane passers-by and letting them know: Hey, we have mountains and corn.
The park will open for its 19th season on Saturday, Sept. 15, for the puzzle-solving, pumpkin-picking masses.
Aside from the maze and pick-your-own, the autumnal activities also include live pig races, the Field of Fun carnival games, favorite fall-fattening foods and craft beer and cider. Passes range from $11.95 to $40.94, depending on how you get them (online or at the gate), and if it’s for a day or the season.
We know what you’re thinking: “Oh, man, that sounds like we’d be there all day.” Well, when the sun sets, Scream Acres ($15.95-$62.95) comes alive for all of the Halloween haunted horrors.
Tickets and information are available at fritzlerfarmpark.com, screamacres.net, and 970-737-2129. Hours for the park, at 20861 CO Road 33, LaSalle, vary throughout the season.
