It looks like Denver Mayor Michael Hancock agrees with us that breakfast burritos deserve celebrating. Hancock, along with Santiago’s Mexican Restaurants, proclaimed Saturday, Oct. 14, the first-ever Breakfast Burrito Day.
In honor of this green chile-drenched day, Santiago’s will be slinging burritos for just $1.25 — the price they cost when the cult-favorite restaurant (and member of our Breakfast Burrito Bracket Final Four) first opened back in 1990.
To prevent potential breakfast burrito hangovers, customers will be limited to five burritos a person.
