The wait for your buttery lobster roll will be a little bit longer.
In July, we reported that Maine Shack would be opening a brick and mortar location in the Lower Highland neighborhood in late summer.
It’s fall, and we’re still waiting.
Reps for the New England-style seafood restaurant say that construction and permit delays have pushed the opening back until spring 2019.
In the meantime, they’re hosting yet another popup (we went to the one at Bar Dough in July), this time on Oct. 4 at Tap & Burger Sloan’s Lake, starting at 4 p.m.
That means whole-belly fried clams; large sea scallops; steamers with beurre fondue or spicy buffalo butter; roast beef, hot or cold; and skin-on fries, served with a side of crab boil aioli.
Can’t you just smell the ocean?
Maine Shack, 1535 Central St., opening in the spring. Tap & Burger, 1565 N. Raleigh St., Denver; 720- 456-6779.
