The Rockies and the Brewers are facing off in an MLB playoff series that’s taking place at stadiums named Miller Park and Coors Field, so it makes sense that a bet involving beer would take place.
Denver’s Bierstadt Lagerhaus on Thursday challenged Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery to a bet on the series.
If the Brewers win, Bierstadt will replace its Slow Pour Pils at its tap room, Rackhouse Pub, with Lakefront Pils. And the entire staff will wear Milwaukee gear.
If the Rockies win, the Bierstadt crew will go to Milwaukee and pour the Slow Pour Pils in its glassware with the Lakefront staff in Rockies garb.
Lakefront answered the challenge on Facebook: “Dear Bierstadt… YOU. ARE. ON. Happy to ship you some Lakefront Pils and a Brewers hat or two. Go Brew Crew!”
It’s not the only beer-related bet being made on the series. The Coors Brewing Company and Miller Brewing Company have a wager in which the brewery of the losing team will buy a round at various bars in the winning team’s city on Oct. 12, according to CBS 4. Both breweries are owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company.
